Question 1- What are two types of transmission technologies available?
Ans: Broadcast and Point - to -point
Question 2- Difference between Transmission and Communication?
Ans: Transmission is a physical movement of information and concern issues like bit polarity, synchronisation, clock etc.
Communication means the meaning full exchange of information between two communication media.
Question 3- What Is SAP?
Ans: Series of Interface point that allow other computers to communicate with the other layers of network protocol stack.
Question 4- What is frame relay, in which layer it comes?
Ans: Frame relay is packet switching technologies and it operates on data link layer.
Question 5- What is terminal emulation, in which layer it comes?
Ans: Fram Telnet is also called terminal emulation and operates on Application layer.
Question 6- What is NETBIOS and NETBEUI?
Ans: NETBIOS is a programming interface that allow I/O interface to be sent to and receive from remote desktop computer also it hides networking hardware from applications.
NETBEUI is NETBIOS extended user interface. A transport protocol designed by Microsoft, IBM for the use on small subnet.
Question 6- What is RAID? How many Types Of RAID?
Ans:RAID stands for Redundancy Array of Independence Disk. A method for providing fault tolerance and improving the performance by using multiple hard disk drives together
Question 7- What is Brouter?
Ans: Its a hybrid device that combine the feature of both router and bridge.
Question 8- What is point-to-point protocol
Ans: A communication protocol used to connect computers to remote networking services including ISP (Internet Services providers). PPP also responsible to assignment and managing IP addresses, Asynchronous (Stop/ Start), network protocol multiplexing,link quality testing, error detection.
Question 9- What are the main component of PPP?
Ans: Three component Encapsulation of Datagram, LCP, NCP.
Question 10- How many fields make up the PPP frame, and what are they?
Ans: Six: Flag, Address, Control, Protocol, Data, and Frame Check Sequence.
Questuon 11- What is Client Server model?
Ans: Client/Server model describes the communication between two or more computer in which one computer act as server and other one as a Client, When client computer make a request to server it search the desired request from the database and acknowledge the same to the client computer.
Question: 12- What is the different types of networking devices?
Ans:- Bridge, Router, Repeater, Switch, Gateway.
